Ryan Jaskot and Samii Grundt win Mr. and Mrs. Bull Competition

October 29th at 7:00 pm was the official 2009/2010 Mr. and Mrs. Bull competition. Competitors came equipped with bull horns, blue tu-tus, sparkles, and blue hair. Seniors crowded into the auditorium awaiting the competition and final results. The contestants for Mr. Bull were Ryan Jaskot and Chris Wagner, and Mrs. Bull contestants were Melina Garcia, Samii Grundt, and Skylar Haas.
With the pressure of fellow classmates watching the potential Mr. and Mrs. Bull, they also had to impress the judges; Ms. Cosme, Mr. Cohen, and Mr. Bjorkland.
The competition began with a questionnaire featuring questions such as; Why do you want to be Mr./Mrs. Bull, what year was West Boca opened, and what is located in the 8 building? After the questionnaire was the chance for the competitors to show their talent. Skylar Haas started this competition with a rap about her school spirit. Next, was Chris Wagner playing guitar along with his own lyrics about West Boca. After, Samii Grundt remixed popular songs filling in clever lyrics about bull spirit. Ryan Jaskot then lit up the stage with his own mix of Michael Jackson moves and songs. Last but certainly not least, Melina Garcia performed to some popular country and pop songs.
After the talent portion, it came down to Samii versus Skylar for Mrs. Bull and Ryan Jaskot was pronounced Mr. Bull. Samii and Skylar had a head to head match for who can throw the peppiest mock pep rally. In the end, the judges decided Samii Grundt would be named the 2010 Mrs. Bull.
Overall the 2009/2010 Mr. and Mrs. Bull competition was a night to remember. The class of 2010 had very peppy contestants and in the end the most spirited of them were awarded Mr. and Mrs. Bull, congratulations Samii Grundt and Ryan Jaskot!
