The temperature is cooling down and November is right around the corner. This can only mean one thing… the beginning of the high school soccer season. The Varsity Boys Soccer Team is coming off their most successful season in school history. With an overall record of 15-5-2 last season, they are looking to continue their success. The Bulls became the first Boys Soccer Team in West Boca High’s history to win a District Championship. The boys last year were helped by their 12th man, the crowd. With huge turnouts last year, the team was able to feed off the crowd’s energy. They hope that this season’s turnout is bigger than ever before.
With 14 returning varsity players and 6 new additions, the Bulls are looking to be very competitive in their 2009-2010 season. Coach Milos, in his second season with the Bulls, will take over the head coaching position. Competition looks tough with the addition of new teams to the 5A District. With teams like Wellington High School, Spanish River, John I Leonard, and Forest Hill in the district, games will be very competitive. Tryouts for the remaining 6 spots will take place all this week. The Bulls start off their season on November 3 vs St. Thomas.
