Signing Day at West Boca

National Signing Day for high school athletes was on February 4. It is the day that student athletes sign letters of intent to the college that they intend to play for. Three athletes from West Boca made their decisions on where to play. Football player Kevin Farrell and soccer players Nicholas Olsak and Dylan Pepia signed their letters in a ceremony that took place in coach Currier’s office.
Kevin is going to play for the Seahawks of Wagner College in New York. While Nicholas who is also an honors student, will be playing for Belmont University in Tennesse and Dylan will be playing for University of Alabama in Huntsville.
” I am ready to start working, get on the field, and make West Boca proud,” stated Kevin Farrell when asked how excited he was to play in college.
Nicholas and Dylan expressed similar feelings toward college when both said ” It is a new experience playing college ball and continuing my education while doing what I love.”
As far as our school tradition of sending athletes to superior colleges, it looks like this year is no different. There is no doubt that we will have more college athletes as the year progresses.
